ADRRN, a regional network consisting of 59 member organizations, is committed to promoting effective regional collaboration and civil society movements for the development of resilient Asia. It serves as a representative platform to achieve this objective. The network held its Annual General Meeting on December 10-11, 2022, in Bangkok, Thailand. The meeting was attended by over 60 representatives from 41 member and partner organisations from 14 countries.
The in-person meeting was characterised by warmth and camaraderie, reflecting the organization’s commitment to putting people at the center of its work. Participants also celebrated the achievements of 2021-2022, a period that saw the network face significant challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the obstacles, ADRRN remained committed to engaging, implementing, and facilitating disaster risk governance and accountability in the region. The meeting focused on specific topics such as membership, the organization’s 2030 strategy, hubs, members and partners’ unique initiatives and finding ways to foster synergy among each other to make Asia more resilient.
