Update: Sunda Straits Tsunami

On 22 December 2018, tsunami hits the coast of the Sunda Strait, affecting the districts of Pandeglang and Serang in Banten province, as well as South Lampung, Tanggamus and Pesawaran districts in Lampung Province.
 
According to updates from the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on Disaster Management (AHA Centre), latest record include 281 fatalities, 57 missing, 1,016 injured, and 11,687 were displaced.
 
Local government agencies are leading the emergency response efforts at affected areas. This include personnels from BNPB, Province and District Disaster Management Authority (BPBD), the Indonesian military (TNI), police, Indonesian Search and Rescue Agency (BASRNAS), Ministry of Social Welfare, Ministry of Public Works, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, local NGOs, and volunteers.
 
There is no request for international assistance as of now.
