ADRRN is launching a new online fundraising training programme built for smaller member organisations that want to move beyond chasing whatever call for proposals comes their way.
This training program is free of charge for ADRRN member organisations.
Over five 90-minute sessions between September and November 2026, participants will build a systematic approach to fundraising, from identifying the right donor targets to writing proposals that actually land. Each session pairs short facilitator input with hands-on work using material from your own organisation, and between sessions you’ll complete short assignments with individual feedback, so progress carries from one session to the next.
What the programme covers
- Foundation (1 September): Your organisation’s current funding position and the case for a more strategic approach
- Strategy (22 September): Identifying donor targets, mapping relationships, and turning gaps into an action plan
- Storytelling (13 October): Building the narrative that makes donors want to fund your work
- Proposals (3 November): Proposal planning, compliance, what reviewers actually look for, budgeting, and using AI to support applications
- Application (24 November): Peer review of your draft concept note and a submission-ready document to leave with
All sessions run at 08:30 UTC via Zoom, in English.
By the end of this training program, you will have
- A completed Fundraising Strategy Canvas mapping your income, relationships, and priority targets
- A clear organisational narrative, ready to adapt for any donor or format
- A draft concept note with individual facilitator feedback
- A personal action plan with named targets and deadlines
- Ongoing access to the ADRRN Fundraising Toolkit and facilitator support
Who should apply?
Staff at smaller ADRRN member organisations involved in fundraising, whether that is a dedicated role or something that is simply landed on your desk. No prior training required. It will be especially useful if you are currently reactive rather than proactive in your fundraising, find proposal writing slow going, want to diversify your funding base, or have been submitting proposals without the results you had hoped for.
Commitment and certification
This is a five-session journey, not a set of standalone workshops. Each session builds on the last, and the between-session assignments are where much of the work happens. Participants who attend all five sessions and complete the assignments will receive a Certificate of Completion, presented in person at the ADRRN AGM in Bangkok in December or sent electronically to those unable to attend.
Limited Seats!
This first cohort is capped at 25 seats to keep the group small enough for real individual attention. Preference will go to applicants who can confirm they are able to attend all five sessions. If you are not selected for this round, two further trainings are planned for 2027, funding permitting.
