DiMaNN has successfully organized one day interaction program in Udayapur Ghaighat with title “The Role of Media in Disaster Risk Reduction” on 16 March 2019. The program was chaired by Mr. Durgananda Chaudhary, Executive Member, DiMaNN Thapa. Altogether, 40 participants representing different media and I/NGOs attended the program. The agenda of this program include:
1. Institutionalizing human activities for disaster risk reduction
2. Media’s role in disaster risk reduction
3. Collective effort of local people
4. Media coverage
During the closing remarks of the program, Mr. Chaudhary urged media practitioners to cover disaster preparedness activities and news. He also thanked Naba Prabhat Nepal for the overall support for this event.
