Following a rigorous selection process, seven finalist groups have emerged in this week’s convening initiative on earthquake resilience and response, led by the Asian Disaster Reduction and Response Network (ADRRN) Innovation Hub, hosted by Center for Disaster Preparedness in partnership with the ADRRN and Elrhas’ Humanitarian Innovation Fund (HIF).
The three-day workshop is a continuing innovation journey wherein participants will start anchoring big ideas into practical realities, making feasible plans to build on what they have learned. This time, the groups, composed of civil society organizations, academe, and the government, are expected to explore ideas on ways of solving problems as they implement innovation ideas. From seven groups, five will be selected and shall receive £30,000 funding support. By the end of this year, two groups will be chosen and will receive an additional £50,000 to support their innovation project until year 2021.
