Theme 2024:

The Grand Bargain was agreed upon at the World Humanitarian Summit in 2016, emphasizing the need for accountable and inclusive responses, quality funding, and local leadership. Carrying the theme of ‘Grand Bargain in Action’, RHPW 2024 will include civil society, NGOs, the UN, the private sector, and academics to shed light on how humanitarian responders in the Asia-Pacific are trying to put these key concepts into practice and identify remaining gaps.

Primary objectives will focus on:

  • Defining Equitable Partnerships and placing communities at the center
  • Climate Change and effective response
  • Capacity Strengthening for complex emergencies
  • Risk Management and sharing between donors and partners
  • Innovative Financing
  • Localizing the Nexus to community needs
  • Fostering Local Leadership
