Asian Disaster Reduction and Response Network is a network consists of 52 national and international NGOs from more than 20 countries across the Asia-Pacific region. With a strong footprint in the region, the network members are constantly engaged with local communities strengthening their ability to combat disasters, providing humanitarian aid like food, water, shelter and health care, protecting critical facilities like schools and hospitals, creating awareness, advocating for policy changes and improving the capacity of community based organizations.

STARS Foundation Pakistan - Skill and Capacity Development Project for Women

Technical and vocational trainings equip women with much-needed skills, helping them become breadwinners for their families. For this purpose, STAR Foundation has established the Technical Training Institute where training is imparted to female in Vocational (sewing and cutting, designing) skills. This Institute is well provided with all the requisite equipment, materials and training aids. The trainers are also well qualified and come with a strong professional background. They possess experience, techniques and skills required for running this state of the art technical institute.

 

The local communities of Bagh district have shown their overwhelming response and declaring it a successful initiative, with such a comprehensive scope. STAR Foundation is now striving for the registration and affiliation of this institute with relevant bodies in order to make this initiative successful and sustainability on a long term basis.
