Takako Izumi (Ms)
Head, Disaster Risk Reduction, MERCY Malaysia
Takako is currently Head of the Disaster Risk Reduction Department in MERCY Malaysia. Prior to joining in MERCY Malaysia, she was working for United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) in Japan and in Indonesia. She involved in the establishment of ADRRN in 2002 as the UNOCHA staff when UNOCHA and the Asian Disaster Reduction Center (ADRC) endeavored to strengthen the cooperation with the Asian NGOs. She had been the ADRRN Coordinator in 2007-2009 and is presently serving as advisor. |
